The Background & History of 24KMEDIA
Established on July 12th, 2019, in Christchurch, New Zealand, 24KMEDIA was initially the brainchild of CEO and Founder Lleyton Watts. Starting with a focus on creating music videos for local artists and promotional content for small businesses, Lleyton's vision quickly evolved into a full-fledged business.
As the company grew, so did its team. Lleyton was soon joined by a group of talented individuals, each bringing their unique skills and creativity to the table. This expansion allowed 24KMEDIA to diversify its services and reach a wider audience. The team's collaborative efforts were pivotal in navigating the challenges of the early years and setting the foundation for future success.
In its early stages, 24KMEDIA carved out a niche in the local music scene, particularly in hip hop, facilitating its entry into the events and entertainment industry. This was further bolstered by a key collaboration with the Australian artists "HP Boys" in late 2020 when Lleyton traveled to Auckland.
With the move to Auckland in 2020, 24KMEDIA not only expanded its crew but also broadened its horizons. The company is now recognized as one of New Zealand's leading media companies. Its achievements include working with internationally acclaimed artists, organizing major events, and delving into music distribution.
A significant milestone in 24KMEDIA's journey was the establishment of their record label, 24K Legacy Music. This label has become a beacon for local talent, signing several up-and-coming artists and providing them with a platform to showcase their music on a larger stage. Under 24K Legacy Music, these artists have found a supportive environment that nurtures their artistic growth and helps them reach their full potential.
